SUMMARY OF THE LEGAL FRAMEWORK OF THE USE OF ICT IN THE ESO

According to the Curriculum of ESO focused on the subject English as a First Foreign Language, the use of ICT in the classroom is very important due to the role it plays in today's society. Thanks to the Internet, we have achieved globalization and with a single click we can communicate with anyone even if it is on the other side of the world or we can know everything that happens in the rest of the countries. Moreover, we have access to all the information we want, which greatly facilitates the search for information to study or to create essays, reports or presentations. However, to avoid students' mistakes, teachers have to teach them to filter the information and know which websites are true and reliable and which are not.

Furthermore, students need to have a medium-high level in ICT to be able to find information on different websites, to communicate, to create new content, to publish it ... For that reason, they need to manage various websites and tools such as google drive, different blogs or Word and Power Point to do their projects and create presentations to expose them. It is important to emphasized, that the teachers must have an adequate level to be able to help the students to complete their tasks.

As a brief conclusion, I would like to highlight that since the use of the Internet is our future, it is important to give our children an education based on new technologies. ICTs are a tool that helps them in their learning process and in their training, besides that, they learn through them and it is important to ensure that ICTs are not a mean to distract themselves.
